Mr Robert Charlish started the business in about 1905, with a shop and workshop in Earsham Street, Bungay. In 1922 he moved the workshop to Priory Lane.
My Grandfather Cecil and his brother Geoffrey Watts bought the business in 1953. In 1954 they built our present premises, themselves, using timber from their own sawmill that was behind the garage.
Originally agents for Hillman, Humber and Rootes Group cars, we took the Ford agency in 1977. Today we specialise in supplying and servicing nearly new Ford and other make vehicles.
In recent years we have seen a substantial growth in our customer base, hopefully as a result of the personal service that we try hard to maintain.
